Yes, absolutely.

We understand that it's an enormous privilege to be able to travel internationally, even when undertaking a charity challenge and fundraising for incredible causes.

Even with hard work and dedication to achieving your fundraising target, registration fees, travel insurance and kit purchase can quickly make overseas challenges a financial commitment that not everyone will be able to make.

So, we do three things to help make embarking on a charity challenge for students from all financial backgrounds a realistic and achievable undertaking:

  • We include the option to book flights on all of our overseas challenges. This means you can fundraise the entire cost of your challenge and not have to commit to paying for flights yourself. Booking flights to Peru even three or four months before the departure can cost significantly more than we're able to secure by booking group rates months in advance.
  • We work with our partners on the ground to allow all of our participants to hire good quality equipment affordably. This removes the need to buy everything new.
  • For anyone on recognised financial hardship schemes or who those receiving grants towards their studies or living costs can apply for a waiver of their registration fees on any of our trips.

These three things mean that our challenges are accessible for all students regardless of financial background and ensure that our amazing charity partners don't miss out on motivated fundraisers.

Your application will be assessed on merit and the reduction in registration fees will be calculated based on a number of factors. Reductions of up to 100% of the value of the registration fee are available.
