Each of our trips is sold as a tour package and will include a team of support staff, such as drivers, guides, cooks and porters (for overseas treks).
Trip numbers on our challenges can vary from 12 to 50 participants.

If you are signed up to a university trip, you will be accompanied by students from one or more campuses across the UK (or Republic of Ireland). In addition to your regular support staff highlighted above, Choose a Challenge will place at least one member of staff at your main accommodation for the duration of the trip, to support the group on arrival and departure. There will also be at least one company doctor present throughout the high season on our Kilimanjaro challenge.
If you join one of our public (open) trips, you will be travelling with a mixed group of various ages and backgrounds, many of whom will be raising money for their own individual causes.
If you are signed up to a bespoke trip, you will again be joined by a mixed group of various ages and backgrounds, each raising money for a particular cause. As part of your bespoke trip, Choose a Challenge will employ a company doctor to travel with the group.

In addition to our international trips, we also run various domestic (UK and EU) events, including our two new challenges: London to Paris (cycle) and Hadrian's Wall (trek). We host various Three Peaks challenges throughout the Summer, as well as regular European marathon events.
If you are signed up to one of our university trips, you will be joined by students from several campuses around the country, each raising money for one of our university charity partners. If instead you join a public (open) trip, you'll be trekking with a mixed group of various ages and backgrounds, some of whom will be raising money for their own individual causes.
As well as our expert guides and professional drivers, these events are hosted by an expedition leader along with various other support staff.
