We place at least one company doctor on Kilimanjaro each year for the duration of our high season. This is because our Kilimanjaro trek takes you up to high altitude quicker than any of our other challenges, and we need to ensure you are ready for your summit assault on the fourth night of your trek, so it's important we keep an eye on everyone as they ascend.

If you are registered on one of our other trekking challenges, there may not necessarily be a doctor on your trip. However, all of our guides are fully trained in first aid and emergency response, each having years of experience at their respective destination. Many have actually grown up in the local area, offering participants a wealth of intimate knowledge and information in addition to safety and expertise.

On our marathon events, your Choose a Challenge representative(s) may not necessarily be medically-trained. However, when you take to the streets on race day, the event organisers will position aid stations at regular intervals throughout the course, so you will never be far away from medical assistance, should you need it!

We hope you found the above information useful. If you have any medical questions or concerns prior to departure, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.
